Shannon J. Dunham
Shannon Jones Dunham was born on the Eastern Shore in the small town of Oyster, Virginia. Her family later moved a few miles away to Cheriton, where her parents, grandmother and younger sister still reside. After graduating from Northampton High School, Shannon left the Eastern Shore to attend Randolph-Macon Woman's College where she double majored in psychology and international relations. Upon completion of her degrees, she moved to Washington, D.C. to work as a paralegal.

In 2000, Shannon returned to the Tidewater area to attend the Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, where she met her future husband. While the two did not date in law school, fate led them to collide (literally) at a conference held in Richmond, Virginia. The two later married, and developed The Dunham Law Group, P.C. The two have one child and four dogs that keep them well occupied.

Shannon's practice concentrates primarily on domestic relations, real estate and criminal law. She also handles the firm's real estate closings.
 

Garrett W. Dunham
Garrett Dunham was born in the Cleveland, Ohio area, but over the course of years found himslef living in many different areas of the United States. During his elemantary school years, Garrett lived in Folsom, California. He returned to the Cleveland area to finish high school and then moved to Wilmington, North Carolina where he attended the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. After graduating with a degree in political science, Garrett moved to Virginia Beach to attend the Regent University School of Law. At law school he met his future wife and law partner, Shannon.

During the later part of 2006, Garrett and Shannon decided to start their own law practice. Having grown up in a small town, the rural beauty of the Eastern Shore greatly appealed to Garrett. The growing number of dogs had plenty of room to run and he had plenty of space to practice his golf swing. . . . his greatest love besides his wife.

Elizabeth A. Powell
Born on a military base in Arkansas, Ashby came to the Eastern Shore to live as a small child, experiencing all the shore has to offer during the school year, and living the life of a military brat in the summer, going wherever the US Air Force placed her Father.

After graduating from Northampton High School, Ashby worked her way through the Eastern Shore Community College as well as Salisbury State University in Maryland and Old Dominion University here in Virginia. After many years without finding a niche within her chosen profession, Ashby became a licensed Realtor in the state of Virginia in 2001.

Finding another avenue in which to use her Realtor's experience, Ashby joined The Dunham Law Group the first of the year 2008. Her concentration as a legal assistant lies in closing real estate transactions for the firm.

In her off-work hours, Ashby is a happily outnumbered female in her household with  son Brady, 4; and baby Jacob, 9 months. If Ashby ever finds spare time again, she will enjoy home improvement, salt-water fishing, scrapbooking, and cooking.
